LaToyia & Miguel: Est. January 4, 2014
{Chico, Ca Wedding Photographer}
January 2014
This wedding was so beautiful! I loved capturing all of the romantic winter details and fun personal touches (like the AMAZING blue Chucks worn by the bride herself!). I loved the colors and the soft afternoon light. I loved the venue and the small lake that surrounds it. But mostly, it was the raw emotion and honest love between the couple that made this wedding truly special. From the First Look to the First Dance, these two were clearly in the moment, taking it all in, and just incredibly excited to be marrying one another. It was such a pleasure to photograph, and I was honored to be a part of it!
One of the aspects of wedding photography that I love so much is that--by the end of it all--I feel I have truly gained two new friends. With LaToyia and Miguel, it was an absolute pleasure getting to know them a bit. And capturing one of the biggest days of their lives, I came to understand one important thing: They truly are perfect for one another. Both have kind hearts and fun-loving personalities, and I just know that these two are meant to be!
LaToyia and Miguel, I am so thankful and overcome with gratitude to have captured all the love and laughter on your wedding day.
I wish you all the happiness in the world!
Enjoy!

First rule of thumb for any bridesmaid: Don't be M.I.A. on the day of the wedding! Lol! LaToyia tracked her missing friend, however, and all was well :-)
The bride gifted her girls a beautiful necklace and earring set to be worn with their gorgeous gowns.
One of LaToyia's bridesmaids made this beautiful necklace for her!
The flower girls and ring bearer were just so sweet--they took their jobs very seriously :-)
I love when there is enough time to allow for photos of the groom and his guys getting ready. Always a guaranteed fun time!
Boys will be boys! I love that their venue--Lakeside Pavilion--offers a bridal suite as well as a groom's room.
The groomsmen gift…I felt very protected :-) Good idea!
All floral arrangements were designed by Chico Florist. So pretty! Wait until you see the bride's bouquet--stunning!
Miguel was such a pleasure to work with!
Even though he admitted to being shy in front of the camera and was a bit nervous leading up to the First Look, Miguel proved to be a natural!
The gorgeous bride!
Loved her bouquet! LaToyia included a small charm containing a photo of her grandmother with whom she was very close. So special :-)
Simply stunning!
I LOVE when a couple opts for a First Look, and choose to see each other prior to the ceremony! It is so sweet, intimate and personal. Plus, it allows ample time for photos of the couple.
The groomsmen were super fun to photograph! Love these next few shots of Miguel with his guys!
This littlest flower girl was so stinkin' cute!
Upon seeing his bride...
The winter-themed details were elegant and romantic. We Do Design provided styling and decor rentals.
Their First Dance was extra special.
Toasts were thoughtful...
…and funny.
The Mother/Son Dance was especially moving. I got a little choked up...
…as did many of the guests.
Um, I think this was quite possibly the best cake smash ever!
Garter and Bouquet Tosses were entertaining to watch...
…as were the Money Dances! Thanks again you two for a fabulous day!
