Vintage-Inspired Styled Wedding Shoot
Part Three: Desserts & Design
April 2013
"Nothing happens unless first a dream." --Carl Sandburg
This styled shoot is my baby. My brainchild. A tiny seed of an idea that grew into something so incredibly creative and fun, I still cannot believe I was able to be a part of it. And I am so very grateful and proud of the team of talented, amazing vendors, stylists and business women who helped make this idea into a reality.
The planning process took well over a month in the making. It began as a little bitty thought that had been rolling around in my head for quite some time. Finally, I decided to reach out to a local wedding coordinator, Lindsey, to help me pull this thing off. Lindsey is the owner of Meant to Be--a wedding coordination business here in Chico--and I was so thrilled when she agreed to meet me for coffee. So there she and I sat one rainy afternoon at a local Starbucks. We chatted about all things wedding, our goals for our businesses, and some loose ideas and themes for a potential styled shoot. Pretty soon, Lindsey and I were e-mailing back and forth, contacting possible vendors we'd like to bring on board, and scouting various locations. It was quickly blossoming into something much bigger than I could have ever imagined.
Eight amazing wedding and event vendors, stylists and designers. Several weeks of planning and creativity. One day of absolute hustle and hard work. And a few hours of fun, fresh, modern photography!
I'm thrilled to share with you the third and final installment of this incredibly creative and unique styled wedding shoot! Enjoy! And please, please, please share, tweet and pin this link!

In Part Three of our Vintage-Inspired Styled Wedding Shoot, I want to introduce and showcase two amazing and very talented ladies: Tia (owner, designer and baker at Cupcake Crusader) and Katelyn (owner and designer of Shift 8 Studio).
Love this dessert table set-up! So creative! The antique dresser is available for rent through Something Borrowed Vintage Decor, and the staging and styling was provided by Ashley (Something Borrowed) and Lindsey (Meant to Be). What a cool idea! All cupcakes designed and baked by the Cupcake Crusader!
Love the Baby's Breath peeking out from the drawer!
The cupcakes provided by Cupcake Crusader are one-of-a-kind, and almost too pretty to eat...almost... :-)
These mini, bite-size are adorable and so dainty.
Cupcake Crusader created a look that was simple yet elegant. Love the sugar pearls...her attention to detail is awesome! Love, love, love! Baked perfection.
Again, all serving and display trays, as well as the vintage tableware are available through Something Borrowed.
Love these pretty, soft, spring colors. Thank you so much to the Cupcake Crusader! You are a dessert diva! These cupcakes were gorgeous and delicious...trust me...I personally tested them just for our followers :-) You're welcome.
Katelyn at Shift 8 Studio is the designer behind all of our paper products for the shoot.
Here is the wedding collection she designed for us. Katelyn does it all! I love how she tied everything together--from the Save-The-Date to the RSVP card to the Menu...it all matched and flowed beautifully, and was incredibly unique.
Love the custom design and colors she created.
Katelyn's attention to detail is awesome! Even these Name Cards and Table Numbers matched the overall theme and design...fab!
Love the vintage twine--again, such a simple touch, but so unique. It's all about the details!
Thank you again to all of the talented local businesses who made this shoot so special! It was a huge success! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand....that's a wrap!
